Switching back and forth between networks, continually connecting/disconnecting/reconnecting the GVPNC-while remembering to copy data, settings, files and screenshots firsts to my local PC so they will be available to paste across to the other network-is getting very frustrating.

It would not be so bad, but I cannot get a static IP on my home/office internet due to my location-so I cannot just make all of those ports accessible only from my location (besides which, I may well be out of my office at a client's office when someone else calls and needs immediate support). I would spend all my time on the router opening and closing ports.


But that is not a solution for a couple of my major clients where I need to access many servers and workstations concurrently each day. That seriously limits the amount of time RD ports are open. In one case, I shut down all of the RDP ports and just open the ones I need as I need them, then close them when done. No hacker will ever get in within the three logon attempts before AD locks an account, but the occasional lockouts are something of a nuisance to users, to say nothing of the hundreds of logon attempts targeted at non-existent accounts if I leave that open. Before all of that, we could just put each workstation on a unique own RDP port-forward and have the perfect remote experience. It all makes me wish the hackers had not begun to target non-RDP ports for RDP traffic. But that requires a fully-configured RD Gateway server (include the expensive TS licenses) at each site-even when connecting to servers and workstations. In this way, I can use the single secured remote port and maintain a separate RD session open to each system. The only way I know for sure is to use the Remote Desktop Gateway at each system.

I do not have control over the IT infrastructure at each location, so purchasing and installing additional software on all their computers is not going to happen. One of them runs LogMeIn, but that does not provide a good full-screen, latency-free connection (especially to 20 computers/servers at the same time) and is just overall kind of clunky compared to RDP direct, and I am just trying to find a good solution here. I cannot connect to two of the LANs at the same time using the GVPNC. They all have Sonicwall gateways, so I can connect to any single one at a time using the Global VPN client.

This could be to any of perhaps a hundred workstations or servers, and it is almost a daily occurrence that I need to run some update concurrently on multiple computers on two or even three or four different networks or, due to some specialized software I support, work on two or three DB2 servers remotely at the same time in order to copy or verify settings. I very often (almost daily) need to log onto multiple remote Sonicwalled networks simultaneously.
